Parents and volunteers are needed for Club Nights to run smoothly. Each club night we need around 14 helpers before we can start Club Night. Help is required for timekeeping, marshalling and card running, the following positions are required to be filled before racing can commence:

1 x Starter

9 x Timekeepers

2 x Runners

1 x Marshal

1 x Recorder

1 x Check Starter

2 x 25m Rope

Timekeeping at club night is one of the easiest ways to contribute to the BSP Swimming Club and you will have a great time socialising with other parents and volunteers.

The Committee asks that ALL families get involved in helping out at Club Nights. If we all get involved, you will only need to assist around once in every 4 weeks. This allows all parents the opportunity to socialise and watch their children swim. No task will be given to any parent or volunteer that cannot be completed with ease and there is always someone on hand prepared to assist you if you have questions or it’s your first time.

Technical Officials

The opportunity to train as a technical official (timekeeping, marshalling, check starting, judging and starting) is open to all registered members. Training can be carried out during race nights. If you are interested in attaining a formal qualification, please advise any Committee member. NSW Swimming Accreditation

The committee encourages members to obtain formal qualifications, dates of upcoming training sessions will be sent out via Boolaroo/Speers Point Team App and included in the news section of the website.

There are plenty of different positions to get involved in including:
